Watch the episodes. I would be interested in what you have to say.
For each new morning with its light, For rest and shelter of the night, For health and food, for love and friends, For everything Thy goodness sends. --Ralph Waldo Emerson

I meant to DVR this!
I've seen both of the episodes aired so far. I was really surprised at the initial attitude of some of the adults, especially the cooks. It's so amazing that the kids and parents immediately "got it" when Jamie explained and showed what the food they were eating consisted of. The show has really been an eye opener for me as well. I had already decided to start cooking at home because I wanted to have more control over the nutritional content of my food. I've also been shopping differently and avoiding processed foods as much as possible. I love watching Food Revolution because it's really expanding my knowledge about food and nutrition.
I love the concept of the show, I didn't like the lack of support he had from the town. I did blog more about it though...

I wrote a whole post about what he is doing as well. I think it is great. I am trying to share his message!
He's sold me on the idea. I love the thought of eating unprocessed foods, then reality chimes in. It's almost impossible to find organic fruits & veggies in our town. AND, I would love to buy meats that have not been feed hormones. But I can't cook it if I can't find it. There's no way I could do this 100% of the times, but I know "I could do better", and I'm wanting to try.
I'm loving the show. I think that the US needs to change the way kids are eating. We didn't have fast food way back when!
I have been hearing so much about this show, I think I'll try to watch it tonight, I presume it is online. Thanks!
My husband and I watched his show last week and were BLOWN AWAY! Later over the weekend we watched Food, Inc. BIG MISTAKE!
I am personally shocked that kids in that school don't use forks and only eat junk food and processed foods. The experiment at Jamie's Kitchen with the "chicken nuggets" totally disgusted me.
I have amde a special effort to use NO processed foods this week.
Hello there! I don't believe that I have ever commented here before! I read your udpates, though. :) I'm not sure if Jamie Oliver is going to be traveling across the U.S. with his show, but the current episodes in Huntington, WV, well, that is my hometown. I currently live in Oceanside, CA, but I was born & raised in Huntington, WV and still have a lot of family/friends there. I think what Jamie is doing is amazing and I hope that more people open their eyes and come around to his ideas. He wasn't given such a warm welcome, but from the last episode I saw it seems he might be getting somewhere--especially with some parents! I'm curious as to your opinions on it all!
